Our firm specializes in mediation and arbitration in the real estate and construction arena, employment and workplace disputes, divorce and probate area and other areas of civil litigation and help disputing parties resolve their differences through the use of mediation and arbitration as part of alternative dispute resolution processes.
Mediation is a consensual dispute resolution process in which a neutral third party assists the disputing parties to arrive at a mutually agreeable settlement. The mediator is just that ― a mediator. He does not impose decisions as an arbitrator or judge would. Instead, he acts as a neutral to help opposing sides explore options that will lead to and result in settling their dispute. Mediation is used to settle disputes in real estate, construction, employment and workplace disputes, divorce and probate matters.
Arbitration is consensual dispute resolution process in which a neutral third party acts as the judge or arbitrator and does impose a decision that is binding and can be confirmed in a court of law. Arbitration is used to settle disputes in real estate construction, employment and workplace disputes and probate matters. Under California code, arbitration cannot be used to settle disputes in divorce matters.
As your mediator or arbitrator in your real estate, construction matter, divorce, probate or other dispute, we will determine the appropriate model of dispute resolution that is likely to achieve a satisfactory resolution that will protect your interests. As mediator, I am prepared to mediate your case in a facilitative style, an evaluative style, an advisory style or other combination that will create the best chances of resolution. As your arbitrator, and with the background and experience I have in serving as a Judge, I will bring finality to your dispute with a full and fair hearing. We bring closure and achieve results in disputes in real estate, construction, employment and workplace disputes, divorce and probate matters and other civil litigation.
